Interference is a physical phenomenon due to the superposition of two waves which, colliding at a point in space, release energy in the form of ripples on the surface

The almost total lighting of urban spaces and the implementation of biometric systems in the surveillance network place individuals in a condition of constant and uninterrupted visibility. This new condition, in which the ones on whom power is exercised are made visible while whoever holds it retreats to areas of shadow, marks the overturning of that "threshold of description" as described by Michel Foucault.

If illumination is one of the strategies through which power is realized, the weapon to escape its grasp is light itself

As protesters showed in recent demonstrations in Hong Kong, where lasers were used to disrupt surveillance cameras and make their faces unrecognizable. In this series of images, by pointing the light of the laser at it, the visibility beam of the surveillance camera, which is trying to capture the subject clearly, is rendered ineffective. Instead, it generates glitches, pixellations and artifacts that sanction the definitive dissolution of the image itself.
